Cheltenham Choral Society

How to Join

We rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 7.30 to 9.30 pm at Bethesda Methodist Church, Great Norwood Street, Cheltenham (see Map). You are welcome to come and sing with us for a few rehearsals and see how you like us; to join the choir formally you will then need to pass a short audition with our conductor and a member of the committee. You do not need to sing anything difficult at your audition - a simple carol, hymn or song is quite OK. If you have some sight-reading ability you will find this helpful, but it is not essential.

You will probably want to talk to someone in the choir before you first attend a rehearsal, so that there is someone to meet you and introduce you to other choir members on your first evening.
Our Chairman, Beryl Neal can be contacted on 01242 510964 or one of our other committee members will be happy to tell you more about the choir and arrange to meet you at rehearsal.
Alternatively, send an e-mail to the choir at info@cheltchoralsoc.org.uk giving your contact details (phone number and/or e-mail address) and a note of which voice you sing and one of us will get in touch.

Now that the lead up to Christmas - which involves singing in a performance of Handel's Messiah and the Rotary Carol Concert - is over, we are having a short rest. Rehearsals will restart on 10th January, in preparation for a concert on 24th March at Holy Apostles Church, when we will be singing John Rutter's Requiem and his Gloria.
